This Friday, the U.S. Navy will drop anchor at Ratliff Stadium for the Odessa vs. Midland football game! From 5 – 9 p.m. the Navy will feature the virtual reality experience that has introduced civilians across the country to Navy life.
The Navy’s immersive, mobile display, built into a state-of-the art 18-wheel vehicle, named the Nimitz, will be located near the entrance of the stadium. Students and fans will have the chance to pilot a high-speed assault craft and extract Navy SEALs from enemy territory. In addition, participants can learn about Navy STEM careers and full-ride scholarships from current sailors!
The activation is open to all over the age of 14. Participants under the age of 18 must bring a permission slip signed by a parent.
