The Odessa High girls basketball team opened its season with a 49-24 road win over Snyder Saturday night.
Lady Bronchos’ junior Skylar Herrera led all scorers with 14 points. Odessa High’s Aneth Jimenez and Natalia Garciano followed with 10 and seven points respectively.
The Lady Bronchos (1-0) held the Lady Tigers (0-1) to nine second-half points to pull away in the second half.
Odessa High has its first home game at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday against Lubbock Estacado at the OHS Fieldhouse.
